Migrate to Twenty Twenty-One

More and more people are migrating their website to the new default WordPress theme Twenty Twenty-One than we have noticed in previous years!

Jo Ansell, a sculptress based in East Sussex had a very simple and sleek website which was running a custom theme based on Foundation 5 responsive framework (released in 2013) and a controversial image resizing script called TimThumb that was discontinued in 2014 following a run of security issues.

Furthermore Jo’s site was unable to take advantage of the new Gutenberg visual editor.

So when she decided to bring her website into 2021, she was delighted that she could do so cheaply and quickly whilst retaining her site’s existing look and feel.

Jo’s new site looks almost identical to her old site but is now future proofed with guaranteed updates for years to come as it is now built using the new default Twenty Twenty-One theme first bundled with WordPress Core v5.6.

The site is now fully Gutenberg compatible and she was able to easily modify every aspect of the site’s design using the popular “Options for Twenty Twenty-One” plugin developed by our sister company, Webd Ltd.
